The additional placement process for the 2026 Vertical Transfer Exam (2026-DGS), for which preferences were collected between October 15-22, 2026, has been completed.

E-GOVERNMENT (Electronic) REGISTRATION

Students who have gained the right to register for our university's higher education programs can complete their electronic registration process between November 3-4, 2026, by clicking on the "University e-Registration" application offered by the Council of Higher Education through the e-Government portal at https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/yok-universite-ekayit.

Candidates who complete electronic registration will receive a barcode printout confirming their registration.

Students who register electronically via e-Government will receive an SMS message from our university to their mobile phone number registered in the ÖSYM system, confirming their registration. Students will also be able to see the information regarding their e-Government registration in the Gazi University Student Information System.

Students who register electronically via e-Government do not need to come to the University to register or bring any documents.

UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION

Students who do not prefer electronic registration, and those who cannot register electronically due to compelling reasons (those with military service issues, those without a Turkish Republic identity number, those registered at another higher education institution), will register in person or through a person authorized by a notarized power of attorney at the student affairs unit of the faculty they have been placed in, between November 3-11, 2026 (on official working days and during working hours).

Original associate degree diploma or a recently dated graduation certificate
Three 4.5 cm x 6 cm photographs taken within the last six months 

GAZI UNIVERSITY STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM LOGIN

After completing your registration by choosing either e-REGISTRATION or UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION, log in to our University's Student Information System and click on either the "Login with e-Government" or "Password Reset" option on the screen that opens. You will then be redirected to https://obs.gazi.edu.tr/ to log in to the System, fill in the relevant fields, and change your password. For your own security, do not share your password with anyone.

Your student number will be sent to you via SMS if you registered via e-Registration, or by the registration officer if you registered on campus.

CREDIT TRANSFER

Students who have previously studied in another higher education program may request the transfer of credits for courses they have taken and successfully completed at that institution. To do this, an application must be submitted to the relevant dean's office within three business days of the initial registration date, along with an approved transcript and approved course syllabi. Credit transfer procedures will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the "Gazi University Associate Degree and Bachelor's Degree Credit Transfer and Equivalency Procedures Directive," and applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

RECOGNITION OF PREVIOUSLY ACQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Students who have registered may apply to the relevant academic units within three business days following their registration date for the recognition of their specially acquired knowledge, skills and competencies, work experience, and certificates and professional qualification documents defined in the "Gazi University Directive on the Recognition of Pre-Acquired Qualifications".

INTERRUPTION OF STUDIES AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE

After final registration, students who wish to interrupt their studies or be granted a leave of absence in accordance with Article 18 of the "Gazi University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations" must apply to the academic unit where they registered, using the procedure specified in the "Gazi University Directive on Justifiable and Valid Reasons," by 17:00 on Friday, November 13, 2026.
