Gazi University Receives The First Gold Medal To Turkey In "2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports"

Our faculty student Merve Topoğlu won Turkey the first gold medal in the Sambo branch at the "2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports" organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in Samsun between September 21 and 30, 2022.

Our student Merve Topoğlu, who competed in the Sambo branch in the women's category in 72 kg, won the gold medal in the World University Martial Arts Cup, which was included in the FISU calendar for the first time and consisted of 6 branches (Boxing, Karate, Muaythai, Sambo, Wrestling, Wushu). The medal was presented to our student by the President of the Turkish University Sports Federation and at the same time, Gazi University Faculty of Sports Sciences Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gunay presented it. We congratulate our student and wish him continued success.
